Stop These Habits If You Don’t Want to Wreck your Teeth

Chewing on ice: Are you the kind of person that loves to chew ice after finishing a drink? Stop! Ice is made of water so it may seem like it is harmless, however, munching on hard, frozen cubes can chip or even crack your teeth. Next time think twice before you chew the remaining ice in your drink.

Cough Drops: Just because cough drops are used as medicine, doesn’t mean that they are healthy. Most cough drops are loaded with tons of sugar that reacts with the plaque of your teeth. Make sure you brush well after you consume these to prevent tooth decay.

Grinding Teeth: Teeth grinding, also known as Bruxism is a condition in which your grind or clench your teeth. You may unconsciously clench your teeth when you are awake or even during your sleep. If you have this condition, you may want to see your dentist or use a mouth guard at night to prevent the damage caused while you are sleeping.

Opening things with your teeth: Your teeth aren’t tools that can be used to open packages or bottle caps. Using your teeth as tools can cause them to chip or crack.
